To truly experience where their food comes from and how nutritious foods affect their health, Don Bosco Youth have led the way with the Don Bosco Youth Community Garden.

In its first year, Don Bosco Youth are

• planning and managing the garden layout

• selecting and the planting the seedlings

• cultivating the soil and the plants

• harvesting, pricing, and selling their produce at the Northeast Farmers' Market

Eventually, the Youth Community Garden will be opened up to local northeast residents so others in the community can grow their own healthy fruits and vegetables.

The leadership and teambuilding skills learned through this project provide life-long benefits to Don Bosco Youth!
